Our Work

SPRING 2022, 2023 & 2024 MCMINNVILLE, OR

Each Spring we are happy to be able to award an 8th grader in each of our McMinnville middle schools a STEM package. These have included Raspberry Pi Personal Computer Kits and accessories and coding box subscriptions. This is sure to bring hours of educational enjoyment to students who find their spark in STEM education!

SUMMER 2022 & 2023 MCMINNVILLE, OR

Shoppers enjoyed a lemonade with our youth advisory committee, who learned how to operate a business in this nation wide program sponsored by the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce. A portion of the proceeds were donated to Traveling Light Foundation.

Traveling Light Foundation board members attended a benefit gala hosted by McMinnville Music Boosters, supporting music education in McMinnville Public Schools and were inspired to help bring a new piano to Duniway Middle School!

COMING BACK, THIS TIME TO DUNIWAY MIDDLE SCHOOL

Booksgiving 2024 at Patton Middle School was a great success! Each student visited the library and took two books home, wrapped and ready for gift giving. Traveling Light Foundation is currently collecting middle school books in new or gently used condition. The Booksgiving Fair will allow each student to take at least one book at no charge. Interested in donating books? Contact us at connect@gotlf.org.
